When Johnny Lightning put this model on their blog as a sneak peek, I was excited. The Wagoneer is an under modeled vehicle in this scale which is surprising given its history as one of the first SUVs.  When I finally found this model at the store, I wasn't disappointed.  The details and features on this model are well worth the purchase price and demonstrate that Johnny Lightning can still produce a great toy car.  Please enjoy the pictures, and remember you can click on the image to make it larger.

I've been seriously busy with work so its been hard to update. I am even planning on doing a review on a recent model but I can't get enough time to do it.  So in the meantime, here's a "coming soon" pic.  The Monster Truck Crushstation.  All I have to say about this truck is I would like to drive it to work... or at least to a seafood restaurant.

Dogs enjoying a ride.

A couple of days ago I posted a pic on Facebook of dogs that ride in various diecast cars.  There are 4 in the picture and then I remembered a couple more.  One of them is "Ol Roy" in the back of this Hot Wheels replica of Sam Walton's truck that was issued in 1999.  Below is a detail shot. The standard view of the truck will be added to the Museum site a some point.  Enjoy.

Modified Chevy Race Cars

I was checking out my new Johnny Lightning Modified Chevy and decided to do a comparison picture with the old Zee Toy I had in the case.  They look good together like they just slugged it out on the track.  I didn't realize it when I bought it but the JL is an older Ertl casting. It still has the Ertl company info on the base. I didn't have the original issues, so it's nice to finally get the model. 

Toy Show 2013

I just got back from the toy show in the city and I found a few things.  There were alot of people out hunting today and the venders were selling, but for me I didn't find as much as I usually do.  But I did, and of course it was fun to hunt for it.  On a side note, my wife found 2 new citizens of Spiralton that were hiding in a cigar box at one of the vender tables. (The little red guys)

Happy 2013, Elvis Style

I hope you all are doing well so far this year.  The museum's first picture on the facebook page was a study of French design in the 90s.  In contrast, on the this blog, I would like to start with a good ol' American over-the-top bling bling Cadillac made for Elvis.  If Elvis was a superhero this would be his "Batmobile".  It reminds me of the 60s TV Batmobile which would make since since both were designed by George Barris.
Oh by the way, this model is a Hot Wheel and was issued in 1997.
